New in Store: Netto Louis

Two years ago we saw the new Netto Collection Louis and we fell in love. And then we waited and waited and it didn't come in. But our patience has been finally rewarded and it is instore! With curvy legs reminiscent of French antiques, it represents a move back towards a more traditional aesthetic for the normally more clean-lined Netto.

Come in store to have a look at this great new collection!

Glossary: Umbrella Stroller

An Umbrella stroller is defined as any stroller with two separate handles that compacts horizontally like an umbrella. Umbrella strollers are generally lightweight with plastic wheels. They make a great car stroller - easy to transport and easy to fold, however they don't make great snow or all terrain strollers.

Some umbrella strollers are newborn friendly, some go from 3 months and up and some take a carseat.

The umbrella stroller is the most popular option for travelers.

Great brands in this category are: Maclaren Quest, UppaBaby GLuxe, Peg Perego Si and the Britax Blink

Taking your baby to the cottage this summer...

Taking a infant to the cottage for the first time is many babies' first trip. You may not be flying anywhere but it takes almost as much work to go up north for the first time.

Top 5 things to know or do before heading out..
  1. Know where the nearest hospital is and what your local emergency phone number is.
  2. Create a first kit to take with you - include sunscreen, antihistamines and band aids
  3. Life vests - Nothing is more exciting to toddlers as water - let them play in the water safely
  4. Brush up on your local flora and fauna - poison ivy is everywhere in Ontario and knowing what it looks like will keep everyone itch free
  5. Keep your cell phone charged.
Have any other suggestions? Leave us a comment.

    Glossary: Hybrid Strollers

    Hybrid stroller -

This category of strollers was created by the Bugaboo Frog but now encompasses a large range of brands such as the Bugaboo Cameleon, Uppababy Vista, Stokke Xplory, Baby Jogger City Select and many others.

Usually characterized by small swiveling wheels at the front, and large rubber or foam wheels at the back

Normally has a bassinet for the under 4 month babies and a reversible pivoting seat for the toddlers.

This is a great urban style for those who want some winter performance but also wants the baby to face them while using a stroller

Weights will vary and so will pricing but it is guaranteed everyone can find something for themselves in this category!
