Glossary: Umbrella Stroller

An Umbrella stroller is defined as any stroller with two separate handles that compacts horizontally like an umbrella. Umbrella strollers are generally lightweight with plastic wheels. They make a great car stroller - easy to transport and easy to fold, however they don't make great snow or all terrain strollers.

Some umbrella strollers are newborn friendly, some go from 3 months and up and some take a carseat.

The umbrella stroller is the most popular option for travelers.

Great brands in this category are: Maclaren Quest, UppaBaby GLuxe, Peg Perego Si and the Britax Blink
