HST is coming...

As of July 1st, Ontario will be subject to the HST.  What does that mean when you shop at Moms to be and More?

Not a whole lot actually!!!

Currently, there are many items such as car seats and baby clothing that are PST exempt.

After July 1st these items will still be exempt from the PST portion of the HST and will show up as HST 5% on your bill. Read below for a complete list of items that will remain PST portion exempt and will only have the 5% tax applied.

All other products are currently charged with both GST & PST for a total rate of 13% and will remain at 13% when HST is implemented.

Products that will be exempt from the PST portion of HST after July 1st:
  • Baby Clothes
  • Baby Bibs
  • Baby Hosiery or Socks
  • Hats, Scarves, Gloves, Mittens
  • Baby Footwear
  • Diapers, inserts, liners, rubber pants
  • Training Pants
  • Car Seats, Booster Seats
  • Books, Printed, Audio or CD included
* Travel systems (stroller, carrier, car seat in the same box) are 13% HST
