Sweet Peanut Sleepwear Recall

Sweet Peanut Sleepwear

Product description

This recall involves the following Sweet Peanut sleepwear:
  • Long peanut suit scattered flowers
  • Long peanut suit adventure stripe
  • Footed suit standing tall
  • Short peanut suit balloon safari
They are made of 100% cotton with a CA number of 50902 in sizes 6-12 mo, 12-18 mo and 18-24 mo.

Hazard identified

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these products do not meet the flammability requirements for children's sleepwear under Canadian law.
Loose-fitting children's sleepwear can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear, and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child's body. For this reason, cotton is not permitted in loose-fitting sleepwear.
Neither Health Canada nor Sweet Peanut has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of the affected sleepwear.
