College Woodwork Furniture in store and online will be changing to "Kidz Decoeur" as this is what they will be calling their baby line from now on.

You will now see "Kidz Decoeur by College Woodwork."

Summer Shutdown for Furniture Companies

Attention Customers:

If you are interested in purchasing Furniture items in the next few months please note the following: Most furniture factories will shutdown for two weeks in the summer months to allow for their employees to have vacation time. Due to the shutdown there will be about a 2 week delay on these companies' products. Please read the information below if you are interested in purchasing items from either one of these companies. More information to follow in the next few weeks for other furniture companies.

College Woodworks

Please note that the cut off date for guaranteed shipment is May 22nd, 2012. Thus, all orders must be placed before May 21st, 2012 to ensure that furniture arrives within the regular ETA of 6-8 weeks. 


Orders placed after May 21st, 2012 will be subject to an additional two week wait period, extending the ETA to 8-10 weeks. 

Dutailier

Please note the following cut off dates for guaranteed shipment of Dutailier furniture;


Wood Glider:                                                  June 6th, 2012
Comfort/Avan Glide & Upholstered (170)           June 6th, 2012
Collections: 180, 311, 312, 350 & 450                June 1st, 2012

All orders must be placed on or before the above specified dates tp ensure that furniture arrives within the regular ETA of 6-8 weeks.

Orders placed after these dates will be subject to an additional three week wait period, extending the ETA to 9-11 weeks.

About College:
College Woodwork began in the early 1900's as a woodworking class for students attending Lornedale Academy. For both philosophical and economic reasons, work was viewed as an essential component of education. By 1920, the woodworking class had grown into a business producing small household items, playpens, potty chairs, ladders and ironing boards. Furniture was a natural extension of the product line, and by the early 1960's, production focused on simple furniture, designed for timeless style and robust quality. 

Much has changed in the past century. Equipment and processes have been updated, markets are international, and competition is global. Despite the changes, College Woodwork adheres to the core values established a century ago. It remains committed to producing quality products at a reasonable price. Still affiliated with the school, College employs some students who earn an income while they learn values and skills that will remain with them throughout their lives. The lessons they learn reflect knowledge born of nearly a century.
