Uppababy Product Information - Peg Perego Adaptor

Updated: Uppababy has now updated this to a product recall.
Uppababy has issued the following product retrieval information. This only affects Peg Perego car seat adaptors sold between March 2011 and December 2011 and is as pictured below.

Uppababy has identified and isolated a manufacturing issue with a limited production run of Peg Perego Infant Car Seat Adapters, SKU-0091. A combination of issues may cause the molded plastic boss (peg) to break.

While there have been no reported injuries, due to their high quality standards,they would like to replace all Peg Perego 0091 adapters. Upon internal investigation and testing they determined that the correct formulation of molded plastic material coupled with a slight design modification would eliminate any breakage moving forward.

Anyone who purchased one of these adaptors should contact the Canadian UPPAbaby customer service team handling this issue at (416) 422-2700 ext 444 or pegadapter@5514km.ca. If you have registered your warranty you may receive a direct phone call as they attempt to contact all consumers. Anyone who registered their name and phone number with Moms to be and More when they purchased their adaptor will also be contacted directly.

Why is it exciting/interesting:

This product is great for any stage of bath time. It allows parents to pump soap one handed and is easy enough for small children to pump the soap themselves. It is easily wall mounted by suction, adhesive or screw plates. There is a window to show when the soap is low and you can refill the soap while still mounted on the wall. By adding half soap and half water you will get over 1,000 foamy pumps per fill!
