Why is it exciting/interesting: The Skip Hop Tree Top friends toys are a popular toy for so many reasons. First Skip Hop has decided to follow this year’s very popular theme of owls but stayed away from the traditional primary colour palette and kept the look unique by using muted autumn colours. Also they have focused the toys around sight, sound and touch. There are over 10 developmental activities on each toy varying from baby safe mirrors, tugable teethers and squeakers or rattles. These cute and fuzzy tree top friends are great tools to help your baby’s development.

The Dandelion Earth Friendly, Pink Collection are my favourite toys in the entire store because not only are they 100% machine washable they are also environmentally friendly from production to packaging. The Pink Collection also gives moms a chance to give back to fellow mothers who are not so fortunate by supporting The Breast Cancer Society.

Product of the Week - November 18th

 

Name of product: On the Road Again Wall Decal

We had been looking forward to the arrival of the  Oopsy Daisy wall decal. The vibrant colours caught our eye from the first time we saw it. The large scale and number of pieces (173 pieces including letters) had us excited for a chance to build a small town on our walls. Tanya, one of the lucky furnishings girls took the job of town planner. She found it fun and calming at the same time. One of the things she liked most about this product was that the pieces felt like fabric so she wasn’t afraid to reposition the pieces as needed. Whether you’re creating on your own or with your child the durability and the variety of pieces in this product means the possibilities truly are endless. We hope this inspires all of you parents out there to create something fun!

New Nutrition classes announced!

Wednesday September 22nd at 10am 

Infant Nutrition        

From breastfeeding to food introduction, we will discuss the unique nutritional needs of your baby (and you) during this time.

We will track the nutritional needs of your baby from birth to 18 months.

Participants will be provided with a food introduction timeline that they can use as a guide for the first 18 months.

Toddler Nutrition
(beyond baby food)

      
This course is intended for anyone who wants to understand the nutritional needs for toddlers (from 18 months, plus).

We will cover the basics of nutrition for young children.
What do they need at this stage?

What foods will provide them with the brain and body fuels they require for optimal growth and development?

This class will include discussion and plenty of ideas for feeding picky eaters a variety of foods.
 

$25 per 1 hour session
